Development and installation of two fully closed sanitation basins

Cox's Bazar, a border region in Bangladesh, is currently home to the largest refugee camp in the world with approximately 800,000 refugees from Myanmar. In such places with polluted river basins where water is scarce, sanitation has top priority to prevent diseases and epidemics.

In collaboration with Oxfam, UNHCR and BORDA, which has a great deal of expertise in the field of decentralised sanitation, Genap has developed and installed two completely closed basins with a capacity of 1,700m³ each for the storage of wastewater containing faeces. Our Fecatex and Genatex plastic films are used for top and bottom sealing.
