Steam foil
 
Vaporex® 2800
Steam is often used to disinfect arable land. In order to increase the effectiveness of the steam it must be ensured that it can penetrate into the soil that is to be disinfected as well as possible. 

Genap supplies Vaporex® 2800 for this. This is a specially developed, heat resistant foil. The foil has the recognisable green Genap colour.
 
What size to order?
In order to increase the effectiveness of the steam it must be ensured that it can penetrate into the soil that is to be disinfected as well as possible. The use of Genap Vaporex® steam sheeting is essential for this. Because the foil will billow out and will sometimes shrink during use it is necessary to order the sheet 10% longer than the piece of ground to be disinfected (that is the length of ground to be covered).
 
Standard widths:
2, 4, 6 and 8 metres or a multiple of 1 or 2 metres.

Genap insulation steam blanket
We supply a polyester blanket weight 500g/m² for this purpose. This material is very resistant to damp conditions and increases the effectiveness of steaming for lower energy costs.
                                                  
Genafil® non-rotting steam bags
Use can be made of Genafil steam bags, manufactured from an open fabric, to fix the steam sheet in place. These bags are very strong, will not rot and have a long lifetime. The single steam bag is about 100 cm in length with a diameter of 10 cm. The twin steam bag (will not roll off the sheet) is about 130 cm in length and has a diameter of 7.5 cm for each channel. The colour is black.
