Genap water reservoirs
A large proportion of horticulturists have sufficient space to construct a reservoir. A major advantage that a reservoir can provide is the enormous amount of water that can be stored in it. Roughly speaking this is infinite, although every solution is ultimately designed to meet the requirements of the end user.
Calculation moduleOur engineers have developed a calculation module that makes it very easy for us to determine quickly and accurately the capacity of the reservoir and the quantity of foil and embankment protection that will be needed.
If you provide us with the following details we can prepare you a suitable offer within 24 hours on workdays:
-
length and width of the reservoir
-
depth of the reservoir
-
height of the dike
-
angle of slope of the dike (usually 45 degrees)
-
width of the crown
-
type of water to be stored
-
whether the foil is to be dug into the crown or to continue to normal ground level
-
is there to be an intermediate dike
-
if the reservoir is tapered give all external measurements
-
whether the embankment protection is to be dug into the crown or to continue to normal ground level
-
the number of any lead-throughs to be fitted with their diameters

Materials
Genap BV has a number of suitable solutions in the Aquatex foil range available for lining the reservoir. See reservoir lining.

Measuring
Certainty above all else! Once the reservoir has been excavated we will come and measure it confirming the definite measurements to you and our production unit makes the foil to size for you. After the reservoir has been measured we will make an appointment with you to lay the foil in the reservoir.

Installing
Naturally you can have your reservoir lined by our VCA (Health, Safety and Environment Checklist for Contractors) certified fitters.
If desired they can also stitch the corners of the embankment protection and put the Genafloat in place.

Ground protection
We advise the use of a protective blanket to protect your foil in all cases where the bottom of the reservoir is very uneven. We advise the use of Geotextiel for this, which is supplied in rolls of 100 x 5.25 m.
Gas formation occurs in various types of soils in the Netherlands. The dealer and customer must together make adequate provision for release of this gas, or take other suitable preventive measures.

Conical lead-throughs
A conical lead-through as supplied by the factory consists of a base plate and sleeve that can be pulled around the pipe tightly because of its conical shape. The type of material used is the same as that of the lining on to which the lead-through is welded. See Conical lead-throughs for a full description.
