Embankment protection
The weight of the tiles gives good embankment protection on the inside of the dike against damage caused by splashing. It is possible to walk on the crown of the dike freely without causing damage to the foil below. The outside of the dike remains free of growth, vermin and no sand gets washed away.
 
Genap supplies Genatex 1000 for embankment protection. This is PE banded fabric, colour black, sunblocking and open to the wind, with a 10-year guarantee (decreasing per month). The sheets have a tiled 0.4 m edge along one long side.
In short, the dike requires no maintenance and is durable, and your reservoir foil will have a longer lifetime.
