Conical lead-throughs
A conical lead-through as supplied by the factory consists of a base plate and sleeve that can be pulled around the pipe tightly because of its conical shape. The type of material used is the same as that of the lining on to which the lead-through is welded.

An opening for the pipe is cut in the lining. The base plate is welded under the sheet and the sleeve is pulled on tight along the pipe to the bottom. A 2-layer Genastrip seal is fitted to the pipe-sleeve connection, and a clamping strap fitted over this using Genatape. The whole forms a completely waterproof connection.

Characteristics:

  • materials: Aquatex EX®, Aquatex® PVC, PVC plus, Draintex® and Fecatex®
  • pipe diameter from Ø 32-Ø 500 mm; special sizes on request
  • base plate: 1.00 mm (for Aquatex® plus) and 0.5 mm (for Draintex)
  • sleeve: 0.5 mm
  • suitable for 45° to 90°

Fitting set
These sets are for fitting the lead-throughs on site. The fitting set consists of 1 roll of Genastrip (sealing) and 3 rolls of Genatape (finishing).

Silo wall lead-throughs
It is also possible to fit a lead-through through the wall. However, this has consequences for the strength of the silo wall and the conditions of the guarantee. If you do make this choice we advise you always to fit a reinforcing plate on the steel wall. These can be ordered with the silo. Remember to indicate the exact diameter of the lead-through.
