Choice of material PVC or EPDM Pondliner:
After many years of using PVC for constructing ponds a new material appeared on the market a few years ago. EPDM Pondliner is a material that is manufactured from synthetic rubber. Firestone, the well-known tyre manufacturer from the USA, has developed a 100% fish-friendly foil with special properties after long testing. In contrast to PVC, that decreases in quality during its lifetime among things due to the influence of UV radiation on the material, EPDM retains its flexibility, and even large temperature differences do not have a disadvantageous effect during use. The enormous stretching power of as much as 300% makes this material exceptionally suitable for this use.

This material is supplied in various roll widths up to no less than 15 metres wide. As well as prefab sheets it can also be installed on site by specially trained workers. The lifetime is a minimum of 30 years, which when used professionally, is definitely an advantage in connection with possible replacement in the future.
